I hatched 3 chickens 4 months ago and have just given the 2 cockerels away which had left me with 1 hen. I was planning on introducing her to my flock that are 22 weeks old. but was told that she would be picked on if I put her in alone so I got another hen to introduce to her in the hopes of them becoming friends and being able to introduce them both to my flock next week. However the new chicken (ginger ranger 22 weeks old) seems to be bullying her (Orpington 18 weeks old). I have had them together for 3 days now and this morning she had pecks on her head which were bleeding. They seem fine in the day but when together in the hutch at night she is picked on. What should I do? Should I introduce them to the flock as it is? Swap the ginger ranger with another less aggressive hen from my flock like a silkie? I don’t want to leave her alone- Any suggestions would be helpful!

Do they have a roost at night?

Also are they in a see no touch area with the others?

The flock have a perch but the coop for the 2 hens is smaller so they don’t and yes I just moved their pen next to the others.

Is it possible to have the hens in separate see no tough areas so they can see each other, and the others, be realized at the same time but no one gets hurt?
