I just got two new hens from the side of the road. They were in a cat carrier. Today I was outside with them and I saw the red star hen poop blood. I can't find anymore piles with blood in it though. Any ideas what's wrong? She's not laying yet. I believe she's around 5 months old

Cocci would be the first guess.
Pick up some Corid asap and see if that helps.
You mean someone ditched them?
If so keep them far away from your others/if you have others.
And wash your hands and change your shoes.

Blood in droppings can be a symptom of coccidiosis. You can get Corid from the feed store, and add 1 1/2 tsp of the powder or 2 tsp of the liquid Corid per gallon of water as their only source, for 7 days. Do you have other chickens? So someone just left 2 pullets in a carrier on the side of the road? If you have other chickens or poultry, it would be helpful to quarantine them for at least 30 days in case of an illness, which sometimes are contagious and make them carriers.

Yes someone dumped them in a cat carrier. They are in a separate pen from my flock anyways since they are smaller.
