Hen problem

I have a hen that has poop on her butt and she seems to have a egg that she can't lay. I cleaned her up and put some vasoline on her and she still seems to have a problem.
Does anybody have any suggestion?

I've seen it posted to soak the hen's butt in warm water for ?about 15 minutes. Merry
