Hen puffed out and unable to walk- PLEASE HELP!!

Thank you so much for all your advice. If I give her calcium will that promote egg production? That's what I don't want.
I will try to keep her in a dark area to keep her from laying.
So, to make this clear, if she has egg peritonitis there is nothing to do but take her to a vet, but if she is egg bound I can still give her calcium, baths, massages, etc.?

The calcium is to help pass the egg if there is one there to pass. Read those links, lots of good information in them. Google it as well and here on the forum.

She seems more alert this morning but other than that, no change. She hadn't pooped all through the night but when I brought her upstairs she did a huge runny poop (luckily on a towel). It is mostly white and has what look like bits of cooked eggwhite and it smells like rotten eggs and poop.

It's one of the worst things I've ever smelled. I'm pretty sure she has egg peritonitis.

She may have had a broken egg in her. This can turn into an infection. You could try antibiotics to see if that helps her.

Also you should do another internal exam in her vent to see if there is any shells left behind or egg stuff. If shells left in there, it will kill her.

I am in Canada and we can only get powdered antibiotics at the feed store. We have no other options here. Check on this site and do a search to see what you can get. Injectable antibiotics I think would be ideal. Its a choice.

Ok, I went to Tractor Supply and got some powdered Duramycinand a syringe. But now I have another problem. I felt her crop just a few minutes ago and it was squishy and still full, which is a concern because I haven't fed or given her water since this morning and I don't think she can get it herself. She hasn't been pooping much either which makes me think that she has digestive problems.

She could have sour crop. That can be caused by many things, tumors, internal lay can cause blockages. Having an impacted crop, etc. how did the internal exam go today?
