hen puffed out, standing still, not eating or drinking? please help

She's doing great today I haven't seen any irregular behavior...she seems back to her old self! What a relief

My hen is having a serous problem and she needs urgent help. I saw her this a.m. and she tried to drink water the water ran out of her beak. She has poop on the feathers below the vent. I felt to see if she had an egg stuck and I couldn't feel an egg. I gently opened her beak to see if I could see anything and of course I didn't see anything . She has been standing around not eating. I can't find a vet that cares for chickens. I haven't had chickens for very long I don't know what to do about this problem.

You should start a new thread in the emergencies section. You have tagged on to an old thread, and won't get noticed here. At the beginning of the emergencies thread, there is a list of questions to include that are helpful to figure out what is wrong.

Hope your hen is still okay. Have you checked her crop? If it is full and hard or full and squishy, she may have an impacted crop or sour crop. There are treatments for each. Worms are a common problem as is coccidiosis.
