Background:

My 4 year old hen is walking really slow and doesn’t want to jump up onto things and just looks at me to place her on things.

Info about her:
She a Buff Op
Has had the Mark shot,
She vary active on the ground
She eats and drinks fine.
She just started laying
Just got over a mild case of scaly mites a few weeks ago. Gone now

Has nothing on the bottom of both legs

how is she walking? Is she walking normal or is she somewhat limping or tilting backward or forward? How long has this been happening?

Older hens frequently suffer from reproductive disorders and crop problems. So check her weight and breastbone for weight loss. Feel of her lower belly between her legs to see if her lower belly is enlarged compared to other hens. If it is enlarged check if it is soft, spongy, hard, or tight like fluid inside. Confine her for a day or so to see if she is eating normally, look at her poops (pictures are welcome,) and check her crop in the early morning before she eats, to see if it is empty, soft, hard, or puffy like a balloon. Look her skin over for mites or lice under her vent and elsewhere.

She doesn’t stand with her tail down. Everything Normal but her pain sounds when she sits a certain way or jumps.

This was a few days now, she does have a little pain when she tilts/sits on a bar/my leg

Again she everything is normal for her. No discharge, nothing but her does wieght is a little on the heavy side.

Can you post some photos of your hen and her poop?
You mention she is walking slow, but then she is very active on the ground?
She has pain when sitting a certain way, jumps, roosts or sits on your leg - can you tell us more about that? How do you know she's in pain?

She just started laying - I assume she has been molting or taking a winter break?
At 4 years old, I would feel the abdomen for bloat/swelling or fluid. Check her crop to make sure it's empty in the morning before she eats/drinks.
She may be having reproductive problems which is common in older laying hens.

Sorry was the confusion I was on my phone doing it. Now I am back at Hen HQ.

She does walk slow but what I mean in Active was that she will eat and fight for treats.

The way she in pain. She normally flies up and sits on my leg in the evening but since this started happening. She can’t jump up and then when I placed her on my leg she sat down. After a few min she readjusted herself made a sharp cluck (i know her pain sound from when she had bumble foot years ago) and when I checked for bumble foot she had nothing. she didn’t say anything until I made a fist on her left foot, she did the same noise and started fighting me to go.

She just got off winter break and she feels fine when check, her back end is normal and crop was empty (I checked just encase it was that)

I’ll get a photos in a little while when I take my flock on a walk

Here is some photos of butters. I could not catch her pooping so sorry.

My father also noticed as well that she weighs more then she did in the winter which is odd becuase I have cut down on the treats.

what I am going to do is to cut/change the amount of treats the flock is getting and Add some vitamins to the water to see if it’s something to do with a deficiency.

Before I get questions about how much I give in treats to a flock of 6:
Morning: An apple, half a cucumber, bell pepper or hanging basket full of Kale. (Changes per day)

Handful of grain around 12 and 3pm (BOSS mixed with leftover bird seed)
