Ok so I have one hen that the other 3 bully...they pulled all her feathers on her back...got her a hen saddle... was going to put it on her but it's raining today (& predicted to continue for next 2 days)
All 4 have no care about the weather. They still go out even in rain...currently they look like wet mops :D
Question is those of you who use the saddles what do you do on rainy days? Should I put it on her anyway. Or do I have to take it on/off depending on the weather?

I left one on for a few months, til she molted again and regrew feathers. However, the hen had no broken skin under the saddle, and it was made of Polarfleece which dries very quickly.

Oh ok I wasn't sure if it got wet if it would irritate her skin being wet.
I got it off ebay looks to be made of thin cotton like fabric like you would get from Walmart or Michaels.

It should be OK if it's nto extremely tight fitting and if her skin isn't broken under it.

She's had it on 24hrs now. Freaked out at first but doing ok today. Supposed to rain tomorrow so I guess we'll see...

Yes, I've put several on over the ears. They always objected at first, to one degree or another, but acted as if they weren't even aware it was there after a short period. Good luck!
