Hen Saddles

Got my saddles today!

I can't wait to get home and try them on the girls. They are LOVELY. Thank you.

I finally had a chance to put them on and sit with them to make sure everything was ok.
It was TOO FUNNY! I got the ones with snaps and it was very easy to get them on the girls. I was worried that they would object - like putting a collar on a cat for the first time - but they didn't seem to even notice. The roo, however, was a completely different story.
While they were getting their evening treat yesterday I was scooping the girls up one at a time and putting each one's saddle on (yes, I ordered a different pattern for each girl...LOL) When I'd put them down they went right back to eating and milling around. When the first one zipped past Hurra (the roo) he actually jumped up in the air and squawked like something was after him. When he got himself together, he stood there looking for the intruder - just in time for another newly dressed girl to walk past. I swear his eyes got huge and round! It was almost as if he could only see the saddle if the hen walked right past him. He lost them once they moved away. Poor thing was completely flummoxed!

Thank you Louise's Country Closet for a lovely product. Hopefully I can get some pictures today.

edited to add picts - a few days late

I am interested in getting two saddles for my Rhode Island Red. I am not sure if snaps are required. If it makes it easier to stay on - then yes. Please let me know.

Best,

Kirsten
