That stuff is not helping, do not feed her any of this stuff.
Feed pellets only and clean fresh plain water.

What did you get more of at the vet’s? Have you tried giving more coconut oil or mineral oil? I only suggested a few bread crumbs once to get her taking the mineral oil, but pointed out that it could make her crop gum up. Oatmeal is not good to feed chickens, but rather stay with chicken feed. If her crop is not emptying overnight, I would stick with soft cooked egg, plain yogurt, or very mushy wet chicken feed.

Your hen sounds like she has a reproductive disorder such as internal laying or salpingitis, where her digestive organs are not working properly, which causes the crop to stay full and become sour. I have never had a hen before recover from sour crop, but many use antifungal drugs such as Nystatin from a vet, or yeast infection creams such as Monistat (miconazole) or clotrimazole, giving orally 1/2 inch twice a day. Since she has a hard time passing droppings, you may need to keep using the coconut or mineral oil for awhile. Sorry about your hen.

yes i have dealt with sour crop before to she definitely doesn't have a sour crop other than the poop thing she does great eats drinks well

Okay, right, not sour crop, it is just constipation and a bulging lower belly. That enlarged lower belly might be the cause of her straining to poop. Earlier, you described the solids of white uratea caked inside the vent. I haven’t dealt with thay before, but I remeber another BYC member who had that and he had to lubricate the vent and extract caked material occasionally. I don’t know the cause, possibly vent pecking or damage from laying too large of eggs in the past possibly.

no I didn't say a swollen lower belly everything is normal except the struggle to poop.

Y'all this problem just is not going away she is still having the same issues. We have been keeping her in the house only bringing her out for short visits because she stinks so bad flies are an issue now. Keeping her clean is an all day issue.

Has anyone heard of mycodex for flies if so is it any good

I called this morning. they said she will need to keep taking the lactulose don't know how long but she does. they said someone else brought in a chicken with the same problem the same day I did constipation. I will be getting more of the lactulose and something for flies called mycodex.

Yall I have give and give and give Fancy this medicine. she gets better but when she stops taking the medicine she gets backed up again. I just don't know what to do anymore but keep on with the medicine. can someone give some insight on why she still does this please?
