hen setting on chicken and duck eggs, ducks have hatched...

My hen has hatched out three ducks but none of the chicks. That means the chicken eggs were not fertile, right? I would like to move her to a larger crate and I am wondering if I should ditch the chicken eggs she still has.

A number of things could have lead to them not hatching. Not fertile, early or late stopping of development. What day are you one since she started sitting?

28 days, there may be two eggs that are more like 24 days. I have attempted to candle them with a mag flashlight in a dark room and I can't see anything. I have never candled before so I may be doing it wrong. The duck egg that was put under her a couple days behind the others is hatching today, and ducks always take longer then chickens, right? Not one of the four chicken eggs she has show any sign of life, and they are each from a different chicken. Do I have to open them to know what went wrong? Assuming they were all infertile does that mean that my rooster is most likely infertile? Thanks-I know, lots of ???????????
