Hey everyone!!

I've got a broody hen that has an egg that's been broken at the small end. Looks like it may have been pushed a little too hard against another egg a couple times. I candles while she was out if the nest and the little bugger was moving around in there and everything looked OK from what I could see. Just wondering though if I should leave the egg alone or if there's something I can do to protect that egg to keep it from breaking anymore? She's a buff orpie so she's not a very heavy bird

plain scentless candle wax can work for sealing the crack, could we get a photo of the crack? What day is it on?

Can you get a picture? How big is the crack? What day is it on?

I have hear of people using a little pice of tape to hold a broken shell together until hatch.
Tape isnt the best option imo, as if you'd need to remove it, you can end up removing the broken areas of shell, but I agree it could be helped!

Sorry I forgot to post. I went to take a pic to post but she must've seen it was cracked and 'cleaned it up' found the evidence under her wing. It was cracked pretty good I'm thinking. Like if you hit the smaller end with a spoon the way it dents it. And then another one right next to it. Thanks for the ideas though it'll be handy if I see it again
