Does my hen need to stay on her egg?

My hen isn't sitting on her egg and I have no incubator what to do?

How many eggs has she laid? They don't set until they have 8, 10, 12 or so. Then she will set when she is ready and start the incubation cycle.

Also, you must have a Tom with her and her or the eggs won't be fertile. The hen presents herself to the Tom and the Tom does his job. Then the hen lays her clutch then she sets.

She only laid one. I not to big on the chicken world yet first time having hens and if mean a male as in tom then I got one and he has mounted her several times already.

Great. Let her do what she wants and when she is ready she'll set on them.
