Hen skipping days

Normal thankfully.
It seems that the fewer eggs a hen lays the longer they live.
The sex links are bred to lay the maximum number of eggs in the shortest period of time. They go pretty much flat out from POL to eighteen months and then, slowly reduce egg output until a few week before falling over dead from plain being worn out to egg yolk peritonitis and various other reproductive disorders.
If I could get the hens I care for to lay under one hundred eggs a year I would be delighted; but then I don't keep chickens because they lay eggs.:)
