Hello again, incredibly helpful people. One of my Wyandottes is making a constant sound, “Aaaaaah squeak! Aaaaaah squeak!” She is otherwise acting normally, free ranging with the others. She did attack another hen tho, which left her a little bloodied. What to you make of her constant sound, which sounds like distress?

It would be good to upload a short video to YouTube or Vimeo with a link here of what you are hearing. It sounds like a sneeze, and that can be common if they get dust or feed into the nostrils. Repeated sneezing every few minutes could indicate a respiratory virus or disease. There also is a sound called stridor which chickens may make if something is partially blocking the airway. That sounds like a high pitched sound breathing in and out.

Once in a while I hear some of my hens make a sound sort if like a deep, ”rough” sounding sneeze. Is that bad?

Most chickens will sneeze occasionally because of dust and dander, and especially during eating dusty chicken feed. The main concern is if it is repeated every few minutes, and includes some congestion.

It was constant. I broke my wrist so I had to just coop her for the night. By morning it was gone. Phew!

That sounds like stridor. If the piece of feed or mucus plug gets coughed up, it usually disappears. I hope your wrist gets better.
