I didn't know they would do that! It usually only lasts a short time, but I am always curious why so much time was spent in the nesting box and nothing happened... LOL

I just let a broody hatch out 5 chicks from 9 eggs. One died- 3 went bad and never hatched. She wasn't giving us any eggs but it sure was fun to candle and wait and watch them hatch. 4 of the 6 eggs that hatched were not her eggs.
