Hen still not laying, Help! :(

My red-sex link hen is around 27 weeks old now and still hasn't started laying yet, should I be concerned? I feed her and my other hens Purina Chick Start because I was told to feed them that until they have started laying. Also her comb had turned a much brighter red color which I also read can be an indicator for a hen about to lay but idk if this is true. Does anyone have any advice?

My advice is to be patient and I would switch them from chick start to a grower/ finisher. Also have you checked for hidden nests? Best of luck and remember she will lay when her body says she is ready.

Most hens start around 6 months, some take a little longer. switch to layer feed and try some fake eggs in the nest to encourage her to lay where you want her to

I switched them to adult chicken feed and will be playing the waiting game, hehe. Thank you both for the advice
