Hen stopped laying

Hi all
I have a hen who is just 1 yr old as of last week. She is a Gold Star and has been laying an egg usually 5 days on one day off-very reliable layer. This week she hasn't laid anything- I did find one large egg in the run (unusual). I saw her in the nest box many times throughout the day but never found an egg from her. I 'think' the egg in the run then is likely hers. This egg happened on Wednesday. She looks completely normal, eats and drinks. Comb is a nice color, no funny sounds from her breathing. When I held her, her abdomen was squishy. I compared her to a couple of other hens- not very much different from them- maybe a little larger squishy area. Any ideas? Could it be that the mystery run egg was tough for her and she's recovering from laying it now? Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Not laying a few days I would not worry. The large egg may have thrown her off a bit. Watch food and water intake as well as activity. As long as she is active, alert and eating I would not worry to much. When she goes to roost if it is easy catch her and check her vent area to make sure that there is nothing wrong. Worst case scenario in my mind would be a stuck egg. Hope this helps.
