Hen Suddenly Developed Diarrhea And Grew Lethargic After Being Treated With Safeguard - Is This Normal?

Are you sure she weighs 3 pounds? I ask because I have heard about some birds getting sick after receiving a large dose of fenbendazole (Safeguard). If she is 3 pounds, the amount you gave is very safe.

Huh, yeah I'm positive she is. She does have a history of developing soft shelled eggs but usually by now she would've laid them. With the diarrhea I just thought it'd be something to do with the medicine.

I just cleaned the poop out, but I can tell you it was very watery and green. Lemme get a picture of her.

Can you try to get her to eat some chicken crumbles mixed with a little water and perhaps a bit of scrambled egg? My silkies were more like 2 pounds. Did you use the SafeGuard liquid goat wormer or the horse paste, or the Aquasol SafeGuard? The Aquasol is more concentrated and dosage is different.

I used the Aquasol, yeah.
