Hen suddenly extremely aggressive.

That was my first thought because I have a girl who is a vicious biter when broody or when I mess with the nest while she's laying.

Is she only attacking your or is she being aggressive to the other chickens as well?
She’s only attacking me at the moment. She’s completely fine with her flock mates and other members of my family.

Ok this may sound strange and may be totally wrong, also isn't meant to worry you. But are YOU having any health issues? Sometimes animals can sense things like this. Like dogs who can alert their owner right before seizures happen. Maybe she senses something wrong and is trying to protect her flock. Or have you started using a new perfume, deodorant, etc?

I am dealing with this EXACT situation right now. My sweetest hen suddenly is aggressive towards me whenever I go in the run. She is 6 months old along with her flock mates. She attacks even when I'm bringing food. I found a duck egg today and when I took it she flipped out. I'm guessing she is broody?? What can I do to calm her down? I don't see her laying on eggs ever and the hens literally just started laying. Not everyday laying. Like three a week laying. How can I handle her and the rooster?

You have at least 2 roosters.
