I went back out to check on them and she's laying on the eggs that I put in there. After sitting here thinking, I realized that if she stays broody, then great! If she doesn't, then it wasn't meant to be.

From the looks of it, she's comfy right now. But it's not dark in there. And she's laying right in the doorway of the enclosure. I have a brooder that I can put her in but I don't have any dark places that I can put it.

So, giving her a boost of vitamins could help her if she does decide to set a clutch of eggs for you. Even if not, she would benefit. Am I remembering correctly that you got more than just the one bird? A vitamin supplement for new birds, and especially for chicks, and when getting ready to collect hatching eggs can make a huge improvement in the "outcome".

I bought 2. I'm one of those that don't like to buy just 1 bird from someone bc I don't want one or the other to feel scared but she doesn't have another bird there that she knows.

Good thinking. I will not sell a single bird. Though i did once give a single bird to a friend who wanted a friend for her lone survivor of predator attack. That gal is now 4 or 5 years old and doing well.
