I have an EE who I found sick today. She was hiding in a damp corner with her feathers all puffed up, standing huddled in a corner.
Brought her inside and now she's having trouble standing, is swaying around, seems to be top heavy [her crop looks like it's weighing her down, felt it but it seems totally normal.]
She refuses to sit unless you help her down, she was down for a short nap but is up standing again.
She's drinking some but won't eat anything.
I'm worried that she has some kind of heat exhaustion? Or maybe she's dehydrated?
Yesterday she was up and strutting around, and we got an egg from her..
Our flock is free range, and she seems to be the only one sick. She's going downhill and becoming extremely lethargic very fast..
Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated!
