I have heard and read the science behind hens turning into roosters. I am wondering if one of my girls has decided to change teams. Up until a month ago I was getting 5 eggs daily but then it dropped to 4 and I noticed some changes to one. Can anyone help me decide if I have a hen "changing"?

This is a hen that is laying

These four photos are of the chicken in question. The breed is Tetra TInt- developed for Tractor Supply (white chicken with brown eggs) It carries its tail different (High and fanned) and has grown longer feathers on its "ruff/mane" (don't know the official name) I am in the process of trying to "cull the herd" Out of my 8 hens I am only getting 4 eggs a day. I know 2 of them are 3+yo so don't lay very often and one is either 2 or 3 so I am fairly sure she isn't laying. I am thinking maybe this one has decided to trade teams. What are others opinions? I have separated this one to see if indeed it is not laying and so far -2 days- no eggs from this one.

I have seen one bird that changed gender. It was a 4 or 5 year old RIR of a friend of mine who transitioned into a rooster. "She" developed flowing hackle (ruff/mane) feathers, sickle feathers and tail coverlets. It also started crowing and mating hens. I don't see any physical changes that your hen is changing gender. It is not unusual for a hen to take a break in a laying cycle.
