Hen turning into rooster...

There's more too, I feel bad not specifically answering your question before , it's just I did that before for others and then other people show up and I got attacked lol
I have pics of the original 6 including China, I had a old camera with poorer quality and didn't document much bc I wasn't expecting this to happen ..the pic I have was when they were little and doesn't prove much just shows you 3 poof tails and 3 stubby feather tails. The 3 stubby grew up to crow right away

I also see her vent, the vent of a roo is different, smaller, etc. I wish now I documented everything better bc its not widely known but when you think about it, if the hen doesnt get the right hormones when they molt they can totally change and grow male feathers, the bone spurs are there they just don't grow. Her crow is more of a weird scream and also hormone imbalances happen in people too, women with beard issues is no longer a circus thing so
Unfortunately I don't have any pics of her between her baby time and adult life only I know she doesn't have a male part back there, I've seen my other Orpington Roos male part so I mostly just have my word and the stories from others online

There's also this great you tube video from great Britain called the secret life of a chicken, something that speaks of this change too. When I saw it I didn't have this experience yet and I didn't believe it

I knew it could happen, I just didn't know they could molt into male feathers! I guess you learn new things every day!
