Hen Vs. Rooster

The saddle feathers of the cockerels/roosters at these ages will be pointed whereas they will be rounded on the pullets/hens.
Did you just get these birds? The cockerels should start crowing around 5 months of age as well.

We got a few of them as chicks in Aprils. These are know are Hens. A few others we got about 2 months ago maybe. The lady said they were all hens but i could tell she had know idea what she was talking about, she also said they were around 6 months of age. The last few we got we were told they were "hens" ages 6 months-2 years. Out of that batch (which was 8 of the 14)we are getting 2-6 eggs a day. Some very small and small large. The 1st and 2nd batch have not begun laying eggs. None of them have been crowing yet. Some sound like chickens others sound like ducks. hahaha

These are all of our babies. If you can help with breed and pointing out the roosters that would be great. They are ages 4months-2years.

Fourth up right side is cockerel. The two below that are black sex links so female. The second up left side looks to be a cockerel too, white plymouth rock.
