Legs sits at an odd angle when standing. Scratches ground very little. Walks, Eats and Drinks fine.
Poor balance after jumping onto perch, flaps wings, has less control over left leg. Okay after settled/sitting on perch
Thanks for any help.

Here's a photo of our Domonique with the leg problem. She is walking here and you can see the odd angle of the left leg.

Additional info:
She is 3 months old. Noticed leg issue 2 days ago. Poops are normal.
There are four chickens total that live in a 4'Wx8'Lx2'H movable run during the day. At night they sleep in a large dog crate with 2 perches and pine shavings as bedding.
Coop is in process of being designed and built.
The dog crate is getting a bit cramped. I wondered if she hurt her leg while jumping/being pushed off perch. She has been smallest of bunch for past month or so.
Thanks.

New development: Toe nail on Right foot is bloody and falling off.
Does anyone have experience to help me with what I should do?

I was about to start my own thread looking for help on a similar issue.

I have a houdan who is 2 1/2 months old, she made an amazing recovery from a rat bite but now shes showing a splayed leg.
I have felt all around and I dont believe its a slipped tendon or any kind of complicatoin from the injury.
I think she just favored the other leg for so long that with the added weight it splayed out recently like a chick's would.

I tried the band technique, adjusted for size, but it didnt seem to have any affect. Then again maybe 2 days isnt long enough for a hen so old.

Any advice?
Time is short so pics soon.

Maybe try some sort of brace and sling combo for more than two days, lol.

I forgot to mention that I acquired a peachick that has a slipped tendon and I will be attempting a brace/splint/sling combo.
