Thanks, KilisGirls. Koda is hard to lose. Him and my rescue rat terrier saved my sussex from a coyote 4 1/2 years ago. He's a super special dog. Part wolf, never been around chickens til he was 7 yrs old and has been amazing....it's NOT the breed... it's the training, patience and time put into the melding of flock and dogs. Boxers are a 2nd choice for me. They are SO handsome and sweet! Sorry for your loss. Truly sorry.

I too am a fan of "it" being the training and not the breed.
I have 2 boxers left and 1 golden retriever.

Wonderful dogs. I have 3 German Shepherds and a Decker Rat Terrier myself. All wonderful with the chickens, cats and horses.
