Hen went missing

Hi,

One of my hen is missing. When I went to open the chickens door this morning I realized that the door was already open. I checked everywhere in my yard and I didnt find her. There is no blood or anything. There is feathers here and there but there was already some before that, because she was molting, so I'm not sure if she is hiding somewhere or if something get it. I recently add new chicks to the flock, could she had been jealous and just decided to leave?

Jealousy is a human trait. Sadly my gut instinct is that something got her. I'd carefully lock everything up from now on. Good luck.

Something probably got her. Chickens can act jealous, but they would not leave to show that.
Another possibility she went broody. Do you have a rooster?

I do have a rooster. She just finished being broody two weeks ago (none of her egg hatch). Could it be possible she went broody again that early and she is hiding somewhere to hatch eggs. I have not seen a single egg either since she finished her broodiness. I can't see where she could have been able to hide. I do not have a lot of three on my yard that she can hide under. The only place I could imagine is under the shed but there is not much space between the shed and the ground itself. I' m very sad she was one of our children's favorite.
