Hen whine/groan

Howdy
One of my hens has been doing this really annoying whine/groan. It varies in length+volume. She’s 15 weeks old, is it a sign she’s ready to lay an egg?

one of mine does that too, totally unconnected with egg laying; mine does it when she wants food.

I’m wondering if she does it when she wants attention, as she does it when I’m holding her brother. Now that I think of it, I think she only does it when I’m around, and sometimes she stops when I’m holding her (though not completely)

Mine do that when they see me come outside.

Mine do that...not sure why....it's just what they do.

I hear one of mine do that when I come down to let them out in the morning. I walk by the coop to the shed to get feed, and tell them good morning. Then I hear that sound.
