Hen with 2 vents (GRAPHIC PIC) UPDATE!!!!!!

Maybe you could look online for a vet you could email questions to, or find one that might take a phone appointment. I would think that after 12 months, if she was capable of laying she would have by now. My GUESS ( and that is all it is, a guess) is that she wont be able to. And I would say that is a blessing because if she did lay, she would most certainly have problems. Enjoy her while you have her and don't worry about whether or not she lays

I'm not worried about eggs (That's what my BO hens are for!!) I just worry about her health. If there is a chance she can lay I'd like to see if I can get her "fixed" or something to keep her from being in pain, or dying...I love her little fluffy butt!!

My silkie has a secret! I was cleaning her crate today and found a BEAUTIFUL PERFECT EGG!!! Guess that answers that question, huh!?

Congrats!! I just found this thread, but I'm glad that she doesn't seem to have any problems. Was it normal sized or a pullet egg?

Normal sized, but the first I've known her to lay...That's odd!

I was definately surprised!! And I'm glad she'll be okay!!

We just got a baby chic today with two vents... Hoping she will be ok. Both vents work as far as pooping. Here is a pic... Any advice?

Hopefully your babe will be ok :-) Mine lived a long life and she did lay eggs here and there so I wouldnt worry too much. She pottied from both vents and im not sure which one she laid from, or maybe both. She laid about like my other silkie have
