I have three hens. One is a RIR named brownie, one is I think a white rock named snowball. Then there is my little ex-battery hen named dodo. She is about 7-8 years old. She has a clipped beak but she still eats and drinks normal. Over the last couple of months I have noticed she has feather loss on her rump. She is still laying occasionally at about 1-2 eggs per week. I checked her poo and it was a little runny but I did not see anything in it that pointed to internal parasites. I checked her all over, both during day and night, for external parasites but again, didn't find anything. Her rump is a little red and kinda dry. She has also just begun to molt (I hope it's just that) today. Can anyone give me some advice on what this could be?
