Hen with a Broken leg

My hen jumped off the perch this morning and because I clipped her wings she fell and broke her leg.
She can't move it and is fine apart from that.
Any suggestions on what I can do for her?
She is currently in a box in my room.
I have made a sling for her out of fabric with a hole in the middle for her legs and she seems to like it.
Please note I have not got a vet around my area and the nearest is 20 miles away.
Please help.

Can you feel where it is broken? You may be able to make a splint with a popsicle stick, depending on where the break is.

It feels like it's at the top of the leg.

Is he leg deformed or is the bone displaced, is there any bone through the skin, any bruising, or swelling? We love pictures so we know more about what to suggest. If you decide to splint a broken bone, the two ends should be in line. Then pad the skin, use something stiff like popsicle sticks, qtips, or other stiff objects, and then wrap with strips of vet wrap or tape. Do not get it too tight, and check the color and temperature of the toes often, and loosen if needed.

I was posting as you last posted. The top of the thigh is a little more hard to splint and to get to heal. You may want to just use the sling. Do you have farm animals and a farm vet who might help you? Most slings have 2 separate holes for legs and one poop hole near the vent. Here are some good pictures and a video of other slings where you can place food and small amount of water:

No, it's not deformed just broken.
It feels lose at the top like it's come out of the socket.

No, no farm animals just chickens and no vet for 20 miles.

@WVduckchick has a method of holding a chicken by the feet to try and get a hip back into socket if it is dislocated. I don’t know if that works on a grown chicken or not. Hopefully, she will look at this thread. I hope that you can help your chicken get better.

If you have aspirin, you can give one 81 mg low dose aspirin orally twice a day, or put a 325 mg aspirin (or 4 low dose aspirins) in 250 ml of water to drink. That might help with pain and as an anti-inflammatory drug.

@Clubber1234 , unless the roost is super high, and you cut all the wing feathers off, I don’t think clipping them made her fall and break her leg.

Clipping flight feathers keeps them from flying long distances yes, but it should not make them unable to flutter down from the roost.
I think it was just a bad coincidence or maybe there’s something else going on.

If your parents are saying you “caused this”, I don’t agree with them.
