The last couple days we’ve noticed one our hens with a slight limp in the right leg. We looked the foot/leg over no obvious sign of a cut or infection such as Bumblefoot. It hasn’t totally slowed her down. She still roams the yard like the others, just not as enthusiastic. Thinking maybe a sprain or pulled muscle? Does she need to be separated or will she come out of it on her own? Thanks in advance.

Same thing happened to us. We kept her in a pen laying down for 3 days with lots of food & water. We are pretty sure she sprained it jumping off the roosts. When we let her out 3 days ago she was hobbling along... now she's walking but not too fast. I believe in another couple of days she'll be running like the rest. As long as she is still eating everything will be fine. If it's a break you would probably be able to see it and she might not be walking.

Kinda what we are thinking, the chickens will be in the pen during the week while we are at work. Only like to let them roam on weekends when we are around. So maybe a few days of taking it easy will do the trick.

She is running now, so that 3 days down was just what she needed.
