1) What type of bird, age and weight: Silver Sebright hen, 6 years old, feels lighter than usual
2) What is the behavior, exactly: sneezing, sporadic shaking, gasping, wheezing breath. No fluid dripping, no foam, no blood
3) How long has the bird been exhibiting symptoms? She has been a seasonal sneezer all her life but the past couple of days her sneezing has been a lot worse
4) Are other birds exhibiting the same symptoms? No
5) Is there any bleeding, injury, broken bones or other sign of trauma. No
6) What happened, if anything that you know of, that may have caused the situation. Pollen count has gone up, but she's never sneezed this much or wheezed
7) What has the bird been eating and drinking, if at all. Pellets and scratch, but not as much as usual
8) How does the poop look? Green and runny
9) What has been the treatment you have administered so far? Antibiotics and dusting
10 ) What is your intent as far as treatment? Treat myself
11) No pics
12) Describe the housing/bedding in use: Clean straw, just changed it yesterday

Any suggestions for further treatment?

I dosed my sneezers- wheezers yesterday with Apple Cider Vinegar and both of 'em sounded better today. Our pollen counts is crazy too!

How long on Antibiotics? I dosed mine with agrimycin a couple of months ago for a respiratory bug that ripped through the coop and that nipped it in the bud with noticeable improvements in 1-2 days. Have you seen any noticeable improvement with the meds?
Is she dusting with DE? That can be a respiratory irritant.

Gee I wish I had more to offer...I hope she's feeling better soon!

I just gave her first dose of antibiotics 2 hours ago; theres no more wheezing or shaking. I'm going to keep dosing her with meds and see how she does. I cleaned the coop yesterday and that probably stirred up the dust more, because she was not this bad yesterday. I had to dust her earlier today because she had a couple of bugs. Im using standard rose bush and poultry dust, ive used it on her before and it never bothered her

2 weeks later and she is much better. Guess the pollen explosion was worse this year. Her sneezing has decreased to only about once or twice in an hour
