Hen with bald rear-end

One of our Australorp hens has had a bald rear-end since early summer. Not sure why. She lays lots of eggs and is totally healthy. Any reason why they aren't growing back? Is this something that happens commonly?

Don't know the answer. And I was just logging on to ask the same question. I have a Barred Rock with the same condition.

Feather picking, mites or lice, or vent gleet from a fungal infection could be possibilities. Pictures may help more.
