Well I still think its a rooster. Look at the saddle feathers. Hens saddles do not look like that. Is there a possibility that the bird isn't as old as stated?

Yeah, I think Australorp roosters have a big single comb and wattles, right? Or am I thinking of Orpingtons?

Orps and Lorps are about the same with their comb size.
