Hen with diarrhea

Great info didn't know about the cecal poop, thanks

How do you administer wormer to a flok of 20? Is is something that can just be put in food or water? Is it a seasonal thing? What time of year is it typically done?
Thanks again

Dawg,

What about a 2 year old hen that eats, drinks, and lays (she is a little skinny) but has the squirts? (I can actually HEAR her go to the bathroom, and can always tell where she roosted for the night due to the diarrhea). She did have worms (Strongyloides) and we treated everyone with Valbazen and re-dosed 10 days later, but the diarrhea hasn't gone away. I haven't re-tested for Strongyloides yet. Any thoughts?

Thank you!

Paul

1 tablespoonful per gallon of ACV to water. Many recommend Bragg's or Heinz unpasteurized "with the mother" since it also has vitamins, but plain old is fine. Plain yogurt helps give them good bacteria for their intestinal health--that is also good for people with diarrhea.
