My OEGB hen seems like she's got something. Her comb all of a sudden turns from this bright beautiful clean comb to this worn down maroon looking color. Why? I rescued a hen that had a pale looj ing comb similar to hers and I gave it cracked uncooked egg shells and it brought the color back. She was lacking calcium. I gave my little hen EVERYTHING I know. I've tried eggshells, egg whites, raw egg yolk and eggwhites. She loves fruits and vegetables. But nothing. I've checked to see and if she was egg bound and when I was chasing her to get her, I picked her up to check her out and she had her mouth wide open and it looked like she was going for air. She wasn't egg bound luckily. I set her back down after checking her out and she looked unbalanced. She looked wobbly like a diabetic when their sugar is dropping but eventually she started ac ting better. I try not to run her much and I havnt been fooling with her much because I'm afraid it will happen again. Any ideas???! I'm worried...
