Hello,
i noticed that one of my pullets has a problem with one of her eyes. She has one eye open normal and one eye half way open.If anyone knows anything about this i would really appreciate.

Is the eye swollen? I would highly recommend worming with Valbazen in case it is eyeworm. I have two chicks with it right now and one has become partially blind and the other cannot stand. I order Valbazen yesterday at Jeffers on line and really hoping it arrives sooner than later.

Before you worm make sure of what you are dealing with. Eye swelling is pretty common, and usually a sign of a respiratory disease in chickens. Things like MG, coryza, infectious bronchitis, IT, and so on. Eye worm is a bit rare, but there are many pictures of it on BYC and Google. Treatment differs from thread to thread. If you can get a clear close-up picture of her it would help. With eye worm sometimes you just see clody gunk, and sometimes there is a tiny worm present. You will need help holding the chicken to examine the eye closely.

Hello,
and thanks you everyone for responding. The pullet eye is not swelling.I treated her with vetrx and her eye open a little more.I pulled back the eye lid and did not see anything out of the ordinary.
