Can anyone tell me what’s going on with my hens foot and toe. Her toe is black and swollen and is limping but can’t see anything resembling bumble foot. The front of the foot looks swollen and dry. She’s the only one that has this.

Welcome to BYC. The toe looks like she injured it, or got it caught under something. What is your location? Black skin looks necrotic, and we see that in frostbite during freezing weather and in toes that are crushed. She may have some scaly leg mites and could have been pecking at her leg. Apply some petroleum jelly to her legs twice a week to smother leg mites.

I am in central Texas so it couldn't be frostbite. She did have what I believe to be have been a broken leg about 2 months ago which was easily fixed, but overall had been well until about 2 weeks ago when her toe started getting dark. I will make sure to treat for leg mites.
