One of my hens was attacked by the new roo. He really got her good. There is a gash about an inch square on the back of her neck. I have isolated her and put iodine on the gash. This has worked well for our dogs in the past. She is drinking and eating and tolerating me holding her which is somewhat unusual. I'm pretty sure she's hurting but doesn't think it is as bad as it looks to me. Is there anything else I should do for her?
