Hen With Gout How To Treat?

You might try sending a PM to Onslow’s Chickens in the thread to ask what strength they used. If not I would probably start with the most common strength either 1200 mg or close to that.
Okay. I think I'll try the 1200mg. She is a big girl. I'll pick up some more Apple cider vinegar tomorrow too.

What's that? Did you get some photos of the feet washed up?

I got the Tart Cherry Extract capsules today, & apple cider vinegar. Will begin treatment tomorrow.

Turns out she does have bumblefoot too. It wasn't there when I looked at her feet a few days ago.
Just started treating her for gout yesterday, & started treating her for bumblefoot today.

The swelling from the gout has gone down :yesss:.
She needs surgery for the bumblefoot, I'll be performing the surgery Monday, the infection is in deep.

Her bumblefoot was horrible.
As soon as I made my first cut into her foot a bunch of nasty goopy, yellowish brown gunk came pouring out like an abscess. After that I had to clear out a bunch of chucky expired cottage cheese like puss out of her foot. The whole surgery took 2 hours on Monday.
