I went to let my girls out about 2 weeks ago and one of the hens was injured bleeding from the side of the neck. Not sure what happened I think something spooked her in the night. I treated the wound it has healed very well. I have noticed in the last few days after she eats she gets frothy around her beak. She also seem like she has issues getting food down she can but it takes effort. Just wondering if anyone has any info on the frothing. I included a photo of the injury for location. I have two hens at the moment the other one has no issues. Thanks for any help you can give.
