Hen with limp- video enclosed

Thank you for your quick response!

She is getting probiotics in the water (I use Big ole bird) from https://www.southlandorganics.com/products/poultry-probiotic

I do two teaspoons of B.O.B. per one gallon of drinking water.
Run for 3 days on and 2 weeks off.

Her feed has been what I always use, green mountain organic no soy layer pellets
http://www.greenmountainfeeds.com/products/poultry/organic-soy-free-layer-pellets/

I supplemented their feed with https://www.mannapro.com/products/poultry/adult-poultry-care/conditioner for about 8-10 weeks to help them through their molt (Sprinkled 2-3 tbs per day over their standard food.

They have free choice oyster shells for calcium and granite for grit available at all times

I have one food and water in the coop with nothing added- just straight up and I have one food with a little brewers yeast sprinkled on top and 1 water with the probiotics added to it.

I will separate her and allow her to rest through the week and keep everyone posted on her progress.

I see no reason for all those supplements...
(reminds me that fishing lures catch more fishers than fish)
...and have never fed layer feed because non-laying birds don't need that much calcium.
I do toss out some animal protein during molting season to help grow those feathers.

got it- I feed layer feed as I have hens at different age- even at 4 years old my older girls lay regularly during the spring, summer and fall season. They take a break right as they molt in the fall and continue to take a rest in the winter.

I had a hen with a limp and it turned out to be a calcium deficiency (vet diagnosis). Do you give them grit ? If they don’t get enough grit they (I believe) take the calcium from their bodies to make the egg shells. We went to the chemist and got some tiny tablets that dissolved in the water and then I spread oyster shell about.
It never happened again.
Hope this helps.

Thank you-

It is funny you mention this as at the end of her laying season her egg shells were very fragile. After a few fragile eggs she stopped laying as she went into her seasonal molt. She does have free calcium (oyster shells) and grit (granite) available at all times, but maybe I should switch it out for some fresh oyster shells. She was eating the oyster shells recently which I thought was odd since she was not laying. What type of calcium tabs did you get? I also sent the video to her vet to see what he thinks as well. I am also including a video of her walking this afternoon- looks a little better then this morning. When I get home I will have to work on my solitary plan for tomorrow. You mention that your hen had a limp- does it look like the videos I am providing?

Thanks for everyone's comments and help!
