My hen has had an army of problems over the last 6 months that have all been treated by an avian vet - but even they are stumped on this one. This chookie had a very sudden inflammation of the whole eye (overnight), it was weeping and hot to the touch. This part of the infection was treated successfully with anti inflammatories and antibiotics but there is a large pea size mass that has grown after treatment, it is not weeping and no pus is present. She had some cells sent to cytology and they do not appear cancerous but it is not responding to medications. Anyone ever had something like this before happen? Any idea of what it could be? There is no respiratory issues present and the sinuses seem to be fine. She is on some new antibiotics for a week before they reassess treatment options. She is otherwise healthy and looks like a happy healthy chicken from the other side
Thank you for your help - she is my baby.
