I have twenty, two week old chicks. The Father is supposed to be Ameraucana, but I have no idea what breed the Mother's are. All but one of the chicks have well developed tail feather's (for their age), except for one of the eight black colored chicks. He/She looks like a Manx cat. There is just a nub of where a tail should be. No feather's are coming in "back there". Weird. I'm hoping for six females. If it turns out to be a female, I'm wondering if this "nubby" chick will produce "normal" eggs. I'm a first time Mother Hen, so I don't know what is supposed to be normal.
