Hi!
Unfortunately, I have just discovered that my White Leghorn hen, Mary Poppins, is suffering from prolapse. Her vent area is unusually dirty (it has been pouring the rain all day and she was foraging in a muddy area.)
The only thing that I have to give her in this situation is Tums, Nutri-Drench, Vetericyn, and Vaseline. I have to be somewhere this evening (I will be back at 8:00 pm or so) so can her treatment wait a couple of hours? She is asleep on the roosting perch right now, so I figured it could wait.
So let me see if I have the treatment straight:
Isolate her, clean her vent area and apply Vaseline, and spray with Vetericyn? I will also give her some Tums and Nutri-Drench is necessary.
Thanks so much in advance!
