!! Hen With Red Swollen Foaming Eye !!

My one year old Easter Egger was found today with her left eye shut. She can open it and its clearly redder than the other healthy eye and the skin around it is red and slightly swollen. She keeps itching it and even the mouth area close to it, but eats and runs around like normal. However, when i first found her she was sitting alone under a bush, possibly because she can't keep up well with the flock and has slower reaction time, and whimpers with the bad eye shut. Foam is generated in the eye corner.

Is it infected? Did she get injured? Reminds me of when human's get pink eye.

What should I do?

Is this the only symtpom she has? There are a few things that could have happened to her eye. You can gently flush her eye out with sterile water and put some neosporin around and on her eye and see if that helps.
