Hen with respiratory illness but very stressed from being separated

Hi, I have a hen that has an respiratory illness. I've separated her from the flock but she is very stressed from the separation. At first, I had her in a large dog crate in my basement but she wouldn't settle. I moved her to a quickly built pen outside but she is still pacing and won't settle. Is there anything I can do to help her? I'm worried that the stress from the separation will cause her to become even more ill.

Can you tell us more about the respiratory illness. What do you think she has? (symptoms?)
How are you treating her?

If she has respiratory disease likely all your birds have been exposed, so if she's stressed and not getting picked on, then let her back with the others.

I agree - stress can make symptoms worse.

As it turns out, she needed to lay an egg. I placed her in a mocked up nesting box and she’s been calm since.
