Hen with some sort a respiratory issue?

Rest assured, organics will NOT treat gapeworm.

just what I was thinking, use what you know will work. Gape worm kill in a matter of days don't chance it by giving unproven cures
I agree. Using natural products are not a bad thing if you want to do that, but when you have a serious problem with worms or whatever, don't mess around. Wormers are much less harmful than worms, and it might save a life. I do still think this may be a respiratory disease though.

They sure treated mine at least when my girls had them!!
You stated in this link that it is SUPER unlikely to have gapeworms. Post #3....and I absolutely agree with you. https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/878483/earthworms#post_13351065 Pheasant are more susceptable to gapeworm and are rare in chickens. Additionally they would be an ongoing problem in a flock due to the soil contaminated with infective eggs. Regular scheduled worming is necessary and organics are ineffective. Birds suffocate to death with gapeworms and more than one bird gets them from pecking the soil and eating infected insects.

I can not offer advice but ask for some of my own, when I pick some of my girls up I can hear them breathing..one of my Jersey giants made a honking noise, only once.. I do not have mold..coop is cleaned every Sunday.their run is cleaned too...they have been wormed...they have clean vitamin filled water (we have crappy water) they have free run in our yard. Good food and treats. Other than what I heard after picking them up..they eat and drink and come when I whistle they are acting normally....so with all that being said am I just over acting? Or do you think I have a problem I need to address.
Thank you in advance for all your help

Mine have a comb that turns purple and they gasp at rest. I wonder if it's Jerseys or similar to what you have?

My little girl is having issues breathing. I put some olive oil down her throat hoping that would help with passage. Someone told me she ate a big bug - how can I help her?

She died in my arms yesterday shortly after I posted. With all the different possibilities of cause, I did an autopsy to look for worms in throat, bugs, etc. Everything was clear except the mass I felt when she was alive, in her throat. I removed it expecting to find a small stone or rock but it was just a hard - looked like - calcium buildup knot in her throat that was not allowing her to take full breaths. Thanks to everyone that wrote to help me. I LOVE THESE BOARDS!!!
