I noticed one of my bantam frizzle hens has a swollen rear end. The vent is clean of poo. The area feels soft when I check it, I don't think there is an egg or impaction. I brought her in and gave her a bath. I had one similar to this a few years back that ended up being a horrendous hernia and I lost that hen. I hope this isn't the same thing...

Here are images I took after her bath.

She is eating and drinking normally and it doesn't appear to be affecting her at all, other than waddling a bit and she sometimes keeps her tail up.

I should add, she has been in the house for about 2 hours now. Had a bath and is setting on a towel next to the brooder under the heat lamp drying. But she hasn't pooped in the time she's been in the house....

Is the rest of her abdomen swollen too?
Does she have a little wound anywhere in that area? I had a hen sort of like that and she ended up getting an abscess in that area.
Is it really soft and squishy, like it could be alot of fluid?
I'm wondering if her abdomen is filled with fluid and its just looking like its her rear end.
